The bride we previously posted about was Erika. So you can imagine how Natasha and I sometimes get mixed up when discussing our future and past brides. We’ve had so many name repeats! We’ve especially had a large number of Mike/Michaels. Erica and Dyllan’s wedding was June 23rd and we encountered a number of trials. I felt pretty good about the day, mostly because I was excited my parents were coming to visit in a couple of days from Kentucky. As I was on my way to the groom prep location in Leeds Utah I noticed that there was a lot of smoke. Turns out there was a wild fire burning and it was REALLY close to the groom. In fact, our clothing smelled of campfire by the time we left for the wedding location at Litchfield Ponds in Toquerville. Once I arrived at the wedding location the wind started to pick up. At one point I had to sit down my camera and chase down napkins and table decor that threatened to blow into the pond! Natasha ran into a problem as well, which was that the brides gown took longer than expected to lace up, and the wedding started almost an hour later than planned!
Despite everything, the wedding went great and the reception was amazing! I had a hard time not dancing when there was an open floor as I was really digging the music. At one point I did bust out a few moves and heard, “Hey look at the photographer over there dancing!” from someone who sounded like they had a little too much to drink. And there was a conga line! I mean, who doesn’t love a good conga line????
Here I was all like… Move your elbow cause there is a nasty sun spot…
The bride gracefully walks down the isle, arm tucked lovingly around her fathers… Oh wait, there’s Natasha!
I wanted to be in this conga line…
I don’t know why no one tells me when my hair is messed up… and those bridesmaids are not happy about me backing into their shot. Someone remind me what I was taking a picture of.
