Dyllan + Erica – Southern Utah Wedding Photography

It was a warm day in Southern Utah as Dyllan and Erica both prepared for the most important day of their lives. A few minor setbacks in preparations caused the wedding to be delayed slightly, however guests patiently waited while fanning themselves in the shade listening to the beautiful guitar accompaniment that was being played. As Erica walked down the aisle, arm tucked in her fathers, everyone couldn’t help to smile and think of how radiant she looked. Dyllan looked eagerly and emotionally, watching his bride and forever friend glide gracefully toward him at the beautiful Litchfield Ponds in Toquerville Utah.

They met online shortly after putting sites up on plentyoffish.com and hit it off right away. After chatting for a few weeks they exchanged phone numbers which lead to frequent talking and texting. Superbowl weekend they made a bet on whose team would win. The loser was to take the winner to dinner. Because the Packers won, Dyllan ended up taking Erica to dinner… both ending up winners in the end.

Erica writes:

“Our next date was at Barnes and Noble’s, which ended up being the day after Valentines Day. I was busy on Valentines Day, so we had not been able to see each other. At the end of our date Dyllan gave me some flowers and told me I deserve flowers for being his Valentine. Of course I had to give him our first kiss!!! Lets just say from there we got serious!!! Within a few months Dyllan and I were spending every day together when we were not working or in school and after several months we had our own place together. We did have several ups and downs in there, but we have come out stronger and a more solid couple, that can endure anything.

In October 2011 Dyllan started hinting about engagement rings and asking what I liked. He really tried to surprise me about the engagement but the timing never quite worked out for it to be a surprise. Dyllan wanted to ask me to marry him on 11-9-11. I knew the day he was going to ask but I knew nothing about when or where. My only instructions were to dress up all fancy!! Dyllan surprised me with a beautiful dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris in las Vegas. We had a gorgeous view of the water fountains at the Bellagio. Right after dinner, the waiter put a beautiful Eiffel Tower ring box in front of me and Dyllan got down on his knee and asked for me to marry him. You guessed it, I said yes!!

We hadn’t planned on getting married until 2013, but we feel God wants us to get married now. Dyllan and I started going back to church regularly for the past several months and have grown even closer as the result. Dyllan has been saved by accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior and has made me love him even more by putting his soul where it needs to be. We have both gone into our marriage planning knowing it is a forever marriage. God has lead us to take our marriage counseling and financial planning courses through our church and those have set us up to have a marriage blessed and lead by God. “
